CIRCUS IN PERFORMANCE COURSE
From: 17/01/2011
To: 11/04/2011
type: Workshop
The Circus in Performance course provides the ideal step up for anyone wanting to perform circus professionally. It is a twelve week, full time course covering acrobatics, aerial, manipulation and balancing, clown, dance and performance, and takes place in the lovely settings of a converted Victorian church. During the first six weeks students learn the full range of disciplines. In the second half of the course students specialise in some skills in order to improve in them and work on performance pieces. These routines are performed in an end of course show directed by Gerry Flanagan. Entry is by audition, and that will be held at Greentop on Mon 4th Oct, 2010.
Many previous students have gone on to work in circus and physical theatre, whilst others have progressed to further training. More details on the course can be found online (see links below).
