Galway Circus Project

The Galway Circus Project (An Sorcas Beag) have come together with a shared interest in circus skills and created a forum, since September 2002 in which individuals can share and pass on skills, develop teaching techniques and concepts. The Circus Space Youth Programme

The Circus Space youth programme provides a range of recreational circus sessions for young people aged 3-18 as well as a more focussed, vocational training through the London Youth Circus.
The London Youth Circus specialises in Juggling, Static Trapeze, Acrobatics, Flying Trapeze or Tight wire in this professional training course designed to support and nurture young artists. The LYC course is uniquely placed to encourage critical thinking, inspire creativity and support individuals in their development. You will work with professional artists and arts educators who will offer individual support and advice to help students excel at their chosen discipline. The training is supported through a 3 year curriculum - initially focusing on general fitness and technical training and then moving on to explore circus in performance in the final term of each year. Students are also supported through a parents evening and annual reviews.

For those who don't wish to take their circus skills quite so seriously there are a series of sessions - Big Tops (8-12 years), Little Tops (8-12 years), Tiny Tops (3-8 years) and Youth Circus Too (12-18 years) - on Friday evenings and Sundays.
