I want to see a Circus
If you want to share the classic experience of 'going to the circus' (with or without animals) then check our listings of traditional and tenting circuses, currently touring the UK.
Note that the boundaries between traditional and contemporary circus have started to disappear. In many cases traditional shows are beginning to have a more contemporary feel, while some contemporary shows use traditional style presentations, and perform in tents.
The human skills displayed in circuses also appeared in theatres (music hall and vaudeville and variety), the streets, at big outdoor festivals, etc.
We have therefore divided our listings into Tented Shows, Venue-based Circus, and Outdoor Events.
